trees in snow

one of those days when the sky and snow look about the same. . .
It sure is cold out there! (high temp today about 16)
Anyone have some good ideas to keep kids happily occupied through this long winter?!? And activites for myself to help me endure it?
Because I am just really not looking forward to this . . .

I just watched the weather--it's supposed to be even colder tomorrow and thursday--then snow again friday and thru the weekend :( but :) for those who like the snow :P I hope you get some good ideas--I need some too!

oh you know my advice...and you don't want it. It involves a big truck, a lot of boxes and a "for sale" sign :)

Get used to having a mess from coats and snow boots and send them to the backyard or Nolan Park all the time. I don't do that, but it's a possibility. TV, video games, books, plays, puppets, puzzles. I have no real ideas. Good luck.

Did I already tell you about toddlerboredombusters.blogspot.com? I love that site. Also $1 projects from Michael's. I got a box of crafts from Oriental Trading also (Big Mega craft box or something like that) with 30 projects for $20 which we have enjoyed. We cook a lot too to pass the time. Then there's the dino museum and the Legacy Center pool--plus all the play places in town, my we eat a lot of french fries in the winter.
