This week's flashback-journal-reading brought me through 7th grade and this boy who was my very first kiss (I promise you I will not blog about each boy I kissed - heavens-to-betsy, noooooo). But this one - well, I don't think I've even talked to him since 7th grade. And he hasn't found me on Facebook, thank goodness (hahaha). So. And well, first kisses are somewhat momentous, in their own wonderful, horrible way - aren't they?
And since I won't be sharing my actual journal entries from this time period (hahaha, don't you wish), I thought you might appreciate a photo instead. He was a cute little skater-boy, no? A jerk, actually, but cute. ;) (at least I thought so)
And don't I look just all sweet and smitten? Yeah.
7th grade romance.
yikes . . .
(anyone else want to share about their first kiss??)

You do look smitten and he looks too cool for school. You look so much older than him. It's crazy how we girls mature so much more quickly and yet we still fall in love with little boys.
I love your hair! I always wanted my bangs to look like that but my hair naturally curly and I don't have enough of it to have nice thick bangs. I'm sure that's why I kissed no boys until I was much older than 7th grade.
yikes, yeah don't even remind me of the issue of kissing boys at that age. I've been trying to forgive myself for many many stupid mistakes. haha. Another good exercise for rereading journals. ;)
How adorable!! Please post more photos from the 80s/90s, big sis. (Gosh, 7th grade, what year is this??)
Heather - this is the end of 7th grade. Around May/June 1988. :)
Do I care to share?? ...OH NO! I have to admit I am bewildered by your courage :) (not in a bad way) It is very brave of you to go revisiting those days. You look very pretty in that photo and that is just how I remember you (just a tich older).
He is super cute, totally looks like the type of guy I would have liked at that age. You are adorable as well!
Let's see, I was 17, he was a Czech foreign exchange student that looked a lot like Leonardo DiCaprio, and it was on State Street in front of Taco Bell in Farmington, New Mexico. We got a few honks and cheers. :)
